Who has them?

Me!! Why do I start sewing something and then not finish it off right there and then? Am I alone in this or does anyone else have an ever growing pile of fabric stitched together, accusing you whenever you walk past? Mournfully declaring, "I too was once the excitement of her life, took pride of place on the cutting table, her Brother couldn't wait to sink his teeth into me.." Well gorgeous quilting fabric from last summer, mourn no more!

Yes, I finally finished a pair of shorts I started making last summer. All that needed doing was hand sewing the bar tack on, can you believe it? One piddly little thing and it took me over 6 months to do.

I love this fabric. It was a revelation to me that I could use quilting fabric, doh! I had never contemplated doing that. Always stuck to the dress fabric section. Was I stuck in a box? Yes.

 They are McCalls 5391 size 12. I lengthened the crotch slightly and had to sew a seam up the centreback on the waistband. Think I may have a sway back and will need to make that adjustment in future.

And yes, I am in the bathroom in these pics. Note to self, take pics somewhere else if posting on the interwebs!
